The Ivy Lake – Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka

1. General

These Terms & Conditions apply to direct accommodation bookings and other services arranged directly with The Ivy Lake. By making a reservation or payment, the guest confirms acceptance of the applicable booking terms.

2. Reservations

All reservations are subject to availability and confirmation by The Ivy Lake.

Guests must provide accurate contact and booking information. A reservation may require either full payment or a 50% advance payment to secure the booking.

3. Rates & Payments

Accommodation rates are quoted in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) unless otherwise stated.

Direct bookings may be paid in full or confirmed with a 50% advance payment, as agreed at the time of booking.

Payment may be made using an available payment method provided by The Ivy Lake, including bank transfer or an authorised online payment service where available.

Online/card payments may be processed securely by an authorised third-party payment provider, including PayHere where applicable.

4. Check-in & Check-out

Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM (14:00).

Standard check-out time is 10:00 AM.

Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and occupancy and may incur an additional charge calculated according to the additional time required.

5. Room Occupancy

The Deluxe King Room accommodates a maximum of 2 adults and 1 child under 10 years of age.

Extra beds are not provided.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

Guests wishing to cancel a direct accommodation booking must notify The Ivy Lake at least 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled check-in date.

Where the required notice is provided, accommodation payments already made — whether the full booking amount or a 50% advance payment — will be refunded.

Cancellations received less than 3 days (72 hours) before the scheduled check-in date and no-shows may not qualify for a refund, subject to the booking terms communicated at the time of reservation.

7. Property Policies

Guest rooms at The Ivy Lake are non-smoking.

The property is pet-friendly. Guests travelling with pets are encouraged to inform The Ivy Lake in advance so that any necessary arrangements can be discussed.

Smoke and fire alarms are fitted in guest rooms.

Guests are expected to respect the property, its facilities, staff, other guests and applicable house rules.

8. Tours, Transfers & Other Services

Airport transfers, transport, tours, excursions and other experiences are subject to availability.

Prices for these services may vary due to factors including fuel prices, currency exchange rates, group size, vehicle requirements and third-party supplier charges.

Where an itinerary and price have been agreed and a required 50% advance payment has been received, the agreed price will be honoured in accordance with the confirmed terms.

Services requested or booked on arrival remain subject to availability and prevailing rates.

Any specific cancellation or refund conditions relating to third-party services will be communicated before payment or confirmation.

9. Guest Responsibility

Guests are responsible for providing accurate booking information and for complying with applicable laws and property rules during their stay.

Guests may be responsible for loss or damage caused deliberately or through negligence by themselves or members of their booking, subject to applicable law.

10. Third-Party Services

Certain services may be provided through third parties, including booking systems, payment processors, transport providers and tour operators. Where applicable, the terms of the relevant third-party provider may also apply.

11. Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with reservations, payments and enquiries will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

The Ivy Lake may update these Terms & Conditions when our services, operating requirements or applicable requirements change. The version displayed on our website at the relevant time will apply, subject to any specific terms already confirmed for an existing booking.
